Congratulations to Tommy O and his partner Mike Syjud who won first place at the Happy hookers tournament on the DesPlains river Sunday. They had a 6 fish limit that weighed 19.2 lbs (its not a misprint 19.2 lbs). I think their smallest fish weighed 2.9lbs and largest 3.9 lbs. Tommy is off to a great start of the 2010 fishing season already cashing a check with B.A.S.S. down at Okeechobee by coming in 21st place out of 200, then winning our first tournament of the year at Braidwood, and now catching a "Texas sized limit" and winning first place on the DesPlains river. Congratulations on an accomplishment that may never be topped! I'm sure Tommy will fill everyone in on all the details at our meeting and maybe even have a few pictures.

Tom-Way to go. For your information; I told JOE we should fish the DesPlaines instead of Braidwood. Keep it up, buddy!

Has anyone had one of those days when everything goes right no lost fish no broken equipment and its not just a practice day?I told Keats a couple days before that it was bs that someone would catch over 18lbs on that river.I guess I was wrong Keats. The tournament was actually a money tourney run by Happy Hookers . In all we Mike Syjud and myself caught over 50 bass. 40 were keepers! 2nd place had 17.6 lbs,3rd had 5lbs.Best day I ever had on that river. Thanks for the kind words guys!Id love to tell you where I was and what we caught em on but dont we have 2 tourneys there this year?lol Good luck and hope everyone can have a day like me and Mike did.
